Building the Exchange Layer for Health Data
HDX Technologies creates infrastructure that enables the secondary exchange of medical records — turning siloed data into accessible, monetizable assets while preserving privacy.
Eliminating redundant testing by making existing records accessible
Over $200 billion is wasted annually on unnecessary medical tests and treatments in the United States. The root cause isn't a lack of data — it's a lack of access. Patient records are scattered across siloed systems that were never designed to share information across organizational boundaries.
HDX is building the marketplace that makes those records discoverable, purchasable, and accessible — with privacy preserved, transactions settled on-chain, and providers compensated fairly for data they've already produced.
The Problem
- 1Patient records scattered across incompatible siloed systems
- 2No marketplace for data providers to monetize existing records
- 3No way for buyers to discover and access verified patient data
- 4Redundant testing wastes $200B+ annually with real patient harm

How we think about health data
Federated, not centralized
We never aggregate or centralize patient data. The exchange brokers connections; providers serve records directly to buyers. This is safer, more scalable, and more compliant than any centralized alternative.
Settled on-chain, not on trust
Every transaction is settled in USDC on Solana with an immutable access grant. Providers verify access independently. No party has to trust HDX — the blockchain is the source of truth.
Standards-native, not proprietary
FHIR R4 from the ground up. SMART on FHIR for EHR integration. OpenAPI specifications for every API boundary. We build on open standards so the platform works with the systems healthcare already uses.
Privacy by architecture, not by policy
PHI never touches our systems. This isn't a policy decision — it's how the software is built. PersonaLink resolves identity using cryptographic tokens inside a Vault security boundary. The exchange only handles financial transactions and identity references.
